"Pikiwiki" - the Free image collection project
Pikiwiki is a cooperation of Wikimedia Israel with the Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL) and The Center for Educational Technology (CET) to collect images depicting the history, geography and society of Israel and the land in which it is located. The images will be contributed by the general public and released to the public domain, or with the fewest limitations, and offered to the public on the Internet freely.

The Hebrew Wikipedia mobile poster exhibition
This project was created by the Hebrew Wikipedia users in the very same manner in which they enrich the free encyclopedia - the collaborative writing. The Wikipedian volunteers wrote and edited the texts, then designed the posters bearing them. The poster exhibition tours across Israel in an attempt to increase public awareness to Wikipedia and recruit readers and writers.

Supporting legislation which promotes free content availability
Wikimedia Israel was a key partner in a joint effort to prevent an attempt to change the status quo regarding the copyright limitations on photographs. The attempted change in legislation could have led to further harder limitations on the use of historical images from the time of early Zionism, early independence, and from significant times in the country's history.
